Daniel Ebbers, tenor

Daniel EbbersAfter an extensive and distinguished international career, tenor Daniel Ebbers has settled into the San Joaquin Valley region as an associate professor of voice at the University of the Pacific. He has performed with numerous regional organizations including the Stockton Symphony, Tahoe Music Festival, Bear Valley Music Festival, Music in the Mountains, the Modesto Symphony and made several appearances at the Mondavi Center in Davis.

Internationally, Mr. Ebbers has appeared in China, Finland, Luxembourg, Italy, London, the Czech Republic, Hong Kong, Israel, Scotland, France, Ireland, and Germany. Highlights of his appearances have included critically acclaimed performances at the Washington National Cathedral in Elinor Remick Warren’s The Legend of King Arthur, co-starring Thomas Hampson, and in Stravinsky’s Mass with Michael Tilson Thomas conducting the San Francisco Symphony. A distinguished interpreter Britten and Mozart, he appeared in Don Giovanni for Opera Theater of Connecticut, Abduction from the Seraglio for San Diego Comic Opera, Mozart’s Requiem at the Rudolphinum in Prague, Carnegie Hall; Albert Herring, Lysander, and The Male Chorus in Los Angeles, and in the title role of Idomeneo at Avery Fisher Hall. As an artist-in-residence with the Los Angeles Opera, he covered and performed numerous roles, taking curtain calls beside Placidio Domingo and countless other artists of international acclaim. Mr. Ebbers has also taught voice and given seminars at vocal institutes in Luxembourg and Italy.

As a concert soloist he has performed extensively in the U.S., making appearances with the National Symphony Orchestra at Wolf Trap, at Carnegie Hall, with the Los Angeles Mozart Orchestra, at the Brubeck Festival performing with Dave Brubeck, and at the Brooklyn Academy of Music. Most recently, Mr. Ebbers appeared with Marin Alsop and the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra as the featured tenor soloist in Voices of Light: The Passion of Joan of Arc, a role he has performed extensively on several national tours through Columbia Artists Management, Inc.
